A time to kill, and a time to heal
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
Ecclesiastes 3:3
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
Ecclesiastes 3:3
There is a distinct sound in the realm of the Spirit; I hear the rumbling of the Spirit as He is about to break forth in the Body of Christ to bring a fresh flow of power. We are in the days of prophetic accuracy as true prophets shall arise with boldness preaching “Holiness unto the Lord.” I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying, “It’s time to fast and seek My face for I shall pour out double for your trouble.”
There are many believers going through varying seasons at this point in time. Some are faced with desperate situations which threaten to literally swallow them up; while others may be experiencing the mountain top bliss of God’s presence. You may be in the midst of that season of desperation right now, however, irrespective of the season or the time in which it comes, there is a point where that season must come to a climax. In other words, “this too shall pass” it shall come to an end; for it is divinely appointed that your mourning shall be turned into dancing. Yes, it is appointed that your time of weeping shall endure for a season, but joy is divinely appointed to come in the morning. You shall see morning, as the Son arises to shine into your dark situation with the rays of His glory released to dispel the darkness. Yes, it shall pass!
“A time…” the enemy has but a short time to oppress you; the clock is ticking on the countdown to your release from the clutches of the enemy. The bells of the Spirit are about to chime, heralding your victory as a shift takes place in time signifying the changing of the guards. “A time…;” for those that have been rejoicing over your troubles to experience their dark days in order that they may acquire the understanding that troubles have significance. You see, troubles can signify sin as well as growth, transition or divine mandate. Daniel 11:35 says it like this: “And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.”
“A time…” appointed that your lack shall come to an end and the days of financial overflow shall come upon you. “A time…” appointed for healing in your marriage; your family; your emotions; your body; your church and your ministry. Yes, it shall pass! It shall all pass for it is appointed. Herein lies your hope as you face each passing day…

It is only for a time!
Word For Today: And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book - Daniel 12:1- Know that in the time of great distress and trouble, there is supernatural angelic help given to the people of God.

And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment
Luke 7:37
Luke 7:37
“I am your healer and I desire to take the scars of your past and turn them into the jewels of your future, for it is through your pain that I will bring about a release into the divine destiny that I have foreordained for your life. Will you not let Me in?” says the Lord.
There is a special and unique beauty that can only be found in brokenness. David explains to us just how God views those who are broken and rent in heart and spirit, he says, “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit” (cf. Psalm 34:18), also “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise” (cf. Psalm 51:17). In other words, God’s attention is drawn to the weeping spirit and the heart that is rent in contrition. In today’s devotional we will briefly discuss why this is so.
In the book of Luke we are told of a woman who, in the midst of a crowd, stood out above the rest not because she was glamorous but because she was broken. As Luke describes the event he says, “And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head…” (cf. Luke 7:37-38). This woman’s actions offended many because she was not like every other woman who came to see Jesus minister, oh no, instead she was as Luke puts it, “a sinner”. In fact there were those present who started to question the validity of Jesus’ ministry based on the presumption that if He knew the kind of woman that was before Him He would never had allowed her to touch Him. Nevertheless, Jesus quickly showed them their error by showing them the value of her tears.
You see when a person comes face to face with their sins, when a person experiences the weight of their sins, having experienced years of drug abuse, prostitution, low self-esteem, fornication, adultery, lying and stealing. After years of being someone else and carrying someone else’s burdens, and then to experience that weight being lifted by the nail scarred hands of Jesus Christ, it is no more the flesh that responds but the spirit. Being broken means to step into the realm where the light of God’s glory is shone upon the frailty of your own filthiness and shortcomings. Being broken is not about shame but is instead about worship since being broken is a state of the heart and the spirit, not of the mind or the flesh.
Jesus looked upon that woman and honored her for her desire to bless Him and for the truth of her blessing. He is also looking upon you today, He sees everything you’ve done and those things that you have yet to do and He is waiting. He wants to remove the sores and scabs that have formed from the wounds that have been inflicted upon you emotionally, mentally, physically and even spiritually; He wants to pour in and bring healing to the fragile heart that is in desperate need of His divine touch. Won’t you enter into the presence of the Lord today? Keep in mind…

Brokenness means removing the mask that hides your shame.
Word For Today: He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. - Psalm 147:3 - He can heal the hurt and remove the memory of the hurt as if it had never happened.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ.
Colossians 2:8
after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ.
Colossians 2:8
“I am going throughout the earth seeking for a man or a woman who would dare trust Me with their heart. Someone who would surrender their entire being over to My care. Someone willing to prove Me and see if I will not be more than you have ever needed in life. I desire to bring you into the fullness of all that life has to offer but you have to trust Me” says the Lord.
In today’s devotional scripture the Apostle Paul writes to the people of Colosse warning them of the dangers of human philosophy and instructing them not to add it to the completeness which can only be found in Christ Jesus. In today’s society mankind has tried their very best to distort and disfigure what the Word of God says and means. Movies are being shown on the television screen which completely falsifies what the Bible teaches. There are numerous books of mythology and folklore that are being written and students are being taught about the theory of relativity, which supports the idea that there is no absolute truth. In other words, my truth is not your truth and vice versa. Just look at how man has concocted a way to prove that there is no wrong or right, the corruptness of man’s mind has even gone as far as to claim to have found or unlocked “ hidden secrets” of the Bible and of our Savior Jesus Christ.
However, do not be fooled, do not be influenced by the lies of man, for the Bible states, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.” (cf. 2nd Peter 2:1-2) That which the philosophers and religious teachers claim to be unreal, lies and foolishness speaks of truths that are totally unfathomable to the mind of man, but here is my question – if the Word of God is so unreal, if it is filled with so many lies and foolishness, how could it speak so accurately? Think about it, and make a decision to put your trust in every Word that has been spoken from the mouth of our God.

Word For Today: When anyone heareth the Word of the kingdom and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. – Matthew 13:19 - Be careful to guard that which has been spoken to you from the Word of God for there is an enemy who wants to steal what is rightfully yours.

When He had thus spoken,
He spat on the ground
and made clay of the spittle
and He anointed the eyes
of the blind man with the clay
John 9:6

There is a shifting in the atmosphere, for judgment is in the earth. “I will judge in righteousness and many shall know that I am God.” Watch the stock market, for many shall panic, but I hear the voice of the Lord saying, “I will show up and I will tip the scale, I will weigh it in the balance and they too shall know that I am God.”
Sometimes there are different methods which produce the same results; in fact Jesus used different methods to accomplish the same thing. This is something which many people struggle with today because of what is termed the “norm.” In some folks opinion if it’s not the “norm” then it cannot be God. As children of God we need to come to the place where even though we are not accustomed to seeing it done in a certain fashion, we know that it is God. It might not seem practical or logical but nevertheless we know that it is God.
The man in our devotional text needed to receive his sight, so Jesus at this time chose to spit on the ground, use a mud patch and then told the man: “Go, wash in the pool.” However, in the case of blind Bartemaeus, he was told “Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole” (cf. Mark 10:52). In Matthew 20:30 “…two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David”. He heard them and chose to heal them, but His method at that time was to touch their eyes. (cf. Matthew 20:34). In another scenario found in Mark 8:22-25 we read: “And He cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto Him, and besought Him to touch him. And He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when He had spit on his eyes, and put His hands upon him, He asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that He put His hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.”
The man from our devotional text upon receiving his sight was confronted by those which knew his former condition so they inquired about his new found sight. He told them his testimony of Jesus and the mud patch, so they took him to the Pharisees where we read, “Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because He keepeth not the Sabbath day.” (cf. John 9:16). We need to be willing to accept what does not seem like the norm or we can miss out on God’s blessings, healing and so much of what He wants to do for us. We can become so programmed to seeing God in strong winds that we can miss Him in the diversity of His ways. Elijah had this experience as he looked for God in the strong wind; in the earthquake and in the fire, but God chose to show up in a still small voice. (cf. 1st Kings 19:11-12)
We need to learn to allow God to work in the lives of others and in our own lives, using the methods which He chooses; even though they may not be familiar or patterned to look like the world’s perception or even that which we have been taught. Understand this; He will accomplish the same results. There are many people who will say dogmatically, “If it isn’t done this way; then it cannot be God or the person is not of God.” Unfortunately, this is a gross misconception, because God works in us according to our potential or capacity to handle certain things and in the way which brings Him glory. He chooses different methods for different folks. It simply proves that He is God; diverse, unique and able to do all things well. So the next time you see someone going through their process or being used of God in a different way, remember…it may not be the “norm” but…

Word For Today: For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts - Isaiah 55:8-9 - You need not doubt God’s willingness to abundantly pardon for, though the wicked man’s ways, and the unrighteous man’s thoughts are so aggravated as to seem unpardonable, God’s thoughts and ways in pardoning are not regulated by the proportion of the former.

Then they sought to take Him:
but no man laid hands on Him
because His hour was not yet come
John 7:30
but no man laid hands on Him
because His hour was not yet come
John 7:30
The hand of the Lord is mighty to deliver, for I hear the voice of the Lord saying, “My hand is upon you and I will lead you; fear not for in this day you shall see mighty deliverance.” Your breakthrough is now! Declare it, and it shall be so. Get ready for miracles Natasha, your womb is open and you shall bear a son.
“My hour is not yet come”. This should be the declaration of every believer, as we face the challenges of life on a daily basis. In our devotional text for today, we find Jesus in the midst of a situation where there were those that wanted to have put Him to death, but could not because it was not heaven’s appointed time. We are well aware that He knew that a day was appointed for Him to face the death of the cross, but He lived with the knowledge that nothing was to be accomplished against Him prematurely; although many schemed, plotted and sought ways to cause His demise. Nevertheless, no man was able to carry out the evil imaginations of their hearts; none could lay a finger on Him because “His hour was not yet come!” You, my friend, can rest assured that the enemy has devised many schemes and plots to destroy your life; family; finances and even your faith, but you can boldly declare “My hour is not yet come.”
John Gills Exposition of the Entire Bible states in relation to John 7:30: “but no man laid hands on Him; though they had a good will to it, they had no power to do it, being restrained by the secret providence of God from it, and awed by the majesty of Christ, which showed itself in His looks and words; and perhaps also they might be afraid of the people, lest they should rise in His favor; and so every man being fearful of being the first that should seize Him, no man did: however, so it was ordered by divine providence, that He should not be apprehended at, this time”. In the midst of knowing that there are times and seasons appointed in the Kingdom; we can safely trust in the divine protection of our Father for He watches over us as the apple of His eyes. Jeremiah pens the words in chapter 29 and verse 11: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Therefore with boldness I declare that though the tempest rage and the stormy winds may blow… “My hour is not yet come.” I will boldly walk this pilgrim’s path as the Holy Spirit guides me; I will walk hand in hand with my Lord knowing that the billows cannot destroy me for “My hour is not yet come.” Whether I’m faced with turmoil or the things which threaten to overwhelm me I know that I shall live victoriously; conquering all adversity and overcoming all evil ploys, because “My hour is not yet come.”
Herein, is the hope of all that daily take up their cross to follow hard after Christ; the epitome of joy. Oh, how encouraging to know that heaven has made a decree concerning you and none can preempt what God has foreordained for your fullness of time. Whatever you are facing today, which has caused you discouragement; to doubt God’s presence or providence, you need to rest assured in the understanding that there is a glorious end appointed for you that the enemy has no control over. You need to know that it is appointed for you to make it through this season of adversity and conflict. Yes, you are going to make it, because…

Word For Today: And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. – Colossians 2:15 - A complete victory was achieved by His death, so that everything is now in subjection to Him, and we have nothing to fear.

Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me:
for Thou art the God of my salvation;
on Thee do I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:5
for Thou art the God of my salvation;
on Thee do I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:5
“You have been called to walk before Me in righteousness. This is what I have decreed over your life and no matter where you go or what you do My mandate will follow you. You can run but it will be of no use for I the lord have set a mark on your life. You will never be complete or feel fulfilled until you have done that which I have spoken over your life” says the Lord.
In Psalm 25 the psalmist, while crying out to God to look upon His situation, reflects upon God’s faithfulness to lead those who trust in Him into truth. Throughout the Psalm, the word ‘teach’ occurs five times in the following context: “O Lord, teach me your paths” (vs. 4); “Lead me in your truth, and teach me” (vs. 5); He will teach sinners in the way (vs. 8); “the meek will He teach His way” (vs. 9); that man who fears the Lord, “him shall He teach in the way that He shall choose” (vs. 12). As we read these verses, there is the awesome revelation that God is not just out there somewhere watching us but He is so close to us that He is also our faithful teacher who is willing to lead us and teach us. As we read today’s devotional scripture we are able to observe the psalmist laying a hold of this revelation and seeking the face of God to teach him even as He has done it for countless others.
You see, the psalmist was faced with a situation that was beyond his own strength and capability to overcome. “I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged”, he cries out to God (vs. 16-17). Apparently the psalmist had found himself surrounded by enemies who were lying in wait for him to be defeated; they were expecting him to be put to shame. Thus, the psalmist cries out repeatedly, “let me not be ashamed.” It is important to note that there are times when we get to a certain point in life where everything around us indicates failure and defeat and there seems to be no way out except giving in to defeat. Despite the despair of these times, it is not the will of the Lord that we should be defeated and downtrodden by the enemy of our soul. On the other hand however, it is impossible for us to overcome on our own because we do not know the way. This is why it is necessary for us to receive the teaching of the Lord.
When the Lord steps into our situation He not only defeats our enemy but He instructs us how to walk in victory continually. What we need to understand is the fact that victory is not a momentary event or accomplishment and therefore is not meant for us to walk in for just a moment. God teaches us how to walk in victory by teaching us how to walk according to His will and according to His Word. He teaches us how to overcome and how to soar above our enemy; but unless He teaches us, we will never know. In the New Testament, the book of Jude tells us that God is wise, and not only is He wise but His wisdom is unsearchable.
Today why not ask God to teach you His way and lead you into truth? He will reveal and unfold to you things that you have never dreamed of before. He will show you the mystery of His ways. He wants to be your personal tutor…
