Weapons of War will meet on the last Saturday of every month for prayer and worship; offering encouragement and support for those who desire to minister or to be ministered to.  This ministry envisions facilitating seminars and workshops in various churches across the region on a monthly basis to build and edify the Body of Christ and to enhance the ministry of the women’s department of the respective congregations.  This was the ministry of Jesus for He ministered to the total man incorporating the needs of body, soul and spirit.  It is important that those who dwell in the community which the church serves and who attend church seeking solace and assistance find it within the sanctity of the church.  A women’s director should have some measure of focus on developing programs, conferences and conventions that offer healing, deliverance and provide resources to bring balance into that person’s life.  We will facilitate these workshops and seminars along with facilitators from other churches as well as speakers from the various regions’ Sexual Assault Resource and Crisis centers.  The subject matters covered will be geared toward empowering and equipping women in the churches; especially directors of women’s departments with a vision to assist them in:

Identifying women who have been or are being sexually assaulted

1. How to approach, counsel, empower and assist these women
2. How to minister to their families and other love ones who would like to support them through this crisis
3. How to make sure that they have received proper instructions and have followed the correct procedure for reporting this crime and how to make sure that all of the legal aspects have been covered
4. How to make sure that proper medical procedure has been administered to prevent diseases that are often associated with these crimes, along with other medical concerns for solidifying this type of case should it become a court matter.
5. How to minister deliverance to these victims and teach them how to maintain their deliverance
6. How to minister to or counsel the children of these victims who might be aware of the situation
7. How to minister to or counsel the mother of children who are the victims of sexual abuse.
8. To offer literature from a Christian perspective on these subject matters.

Becoming A Part of The Vision  

Becoming a part of the vision entails several different aspects including:

1. Registering to attend the seminars and workshops;
2. Attending weekly prayer meetings;
3. Volunteering to enroll in the counseling training sessions;
4. Dedication to making sure that local churches get involved in this type of outreach to the community;
5. Commitment to offering care, love and confidential support for all victims and teaching others to do so
