Our Brief History

God Faith United Church, founded on December 17, 2006 by Pastor Abednego T. Yarway, Sr.  We have 4 (four) branch churches within our counties, Montserrado County & Grand Bassa County respectively, with 326 (three hundred twenty-six) members at the headquarter church presently and 291 (two hundred ninety-one) members within the four branch churches.

 

Our Vision

We want to reach the lost in our community for Jesus Christ; we want to meet the needs of believers and help them find the answers to their problems.  We want to help Christians strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ; we want Him to be Lord over every area of their lives.  We also want to build churches, schools, clinics and to go into agriculture worldwide with the help of our international partners.  We want to live a Christian life and be a committed Christian family, providing an environment and opportunities based upon biblical principles that bring people into a right relationship with God.

Excerpts from our Articles Of Faith

We believe and teach the God is one (cf. John 1:1)

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and that the Bible is the supreme authority in all matters ( cf. 2nd Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are the three manifestations of one God ( cf. 1st John 5: 7-8)

We believe that immersion in water is a sign to the world of our new birth; that, just as Christ was placed in the tomb and came back to life, so too do we consider our old self and nature dead and so are we “buried” in water and come up again to eternal life (cf. Romans 6:4)
